Keywords:
Assessment, Knowledge, Skills, Awareness, Environmental ProgramAbstract
The International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) is crucial for tackling marine pollution. This study assessed students’ knowledge, skills and awareness gained through participation in the International Coastal Cleanup. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 38 participants. Results showed high knowledge (mean = 4.17) and skills (mean = 3.64), particularly in waste segregation and community engagement. Statistical analysis revealed no significant demographic differences, but organizational affiliation influenced skill development (ANOVA, p < 0.05). These insights contributed to the EcoLeaders Program, highlighting community-based approaches to enhance environmental consciousness among university students.
